The Origin
The origin of this specific gesture is really not known. But, it has been heard/said that certain parts of Malaysia and Indonesia do a similar gesture to ours. With this in mind, it has been said that since this gesture has been demonstrated through other ethnic groups, that this maybe originated from precolonial times.
